Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD)

Hypnotherapy is generally accepted to be a quick and yet very successful way of managing stress and anxiety issues such as Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD).

But what exactly is GAD? Given the stresses of modern life, it's normal to feel anxious from time to time.....

But people with generalised anxiety disorder (GAD) suffer from persistent worry and tension that's much worse than the mild anxiety that most of us experience.

If you suffer from extreme worry or stress that’s much more intense or persistent than the everyday anxiety that many people encounter, then you may be experiencing the onset of Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD).

GAD (Generalised Anxiety Disorder) is distinguished from the stress or anxiety that many of us experience by it's intensity and persistence. The high level or chronic state of anxiety associated with GAD can make even the most ordinary very activities difficult. People diagnosed as suffering from GAD will have experienced this extreme form of stress or anxiety for at least 6 months.

How is Generalised Anxiety Disorder treated? - Hypnosis and other treatments for GAD

Hypnotherapy is widely recognised as a fast and yet very effective way of dealing with anxiety issues such as Generalised Anxiety Disorder. Unfortunately, hypnotherapy isn't widely available on the NHS.

Most people begin to feel positive results after only one or two sessions of hypnotherapy and my other techniques although it may take longer to completely resolve your anxiety issues.

Hypnotherapy may be able to help you deal with Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD).Hypnosis is so powerful, because it deals with your mind..... And it's your mind that's responsible for your thoughts, your habits, your attitudes and your beliefs. Change your mind and you can do just about anything. That includes overcoming your anxiety.

Your doctor may prescribe medication or a course of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).  CBT is normally a much longer process than hypnotherapy. CBT usually takes between 8 and 20 sessions.

If you're feeling stressed and think that you might have General Anxiety Disorder (GAD) you should consult your doctor. Hypnotherapy may be able to help you too.
