Articles and self-help - Learn self-hypnosis
Learn how to use self-hypnosis and make your dreams come true.
What is self-hypnosis? At its most basic level self-hypnosis is simply a pleasant daydream that you control. Despite it’s simplicity it’s much more than that. Self-hypnosis can be the key to your success.
One of the easiest methods of practicing self-hypnosis is to find a comfortable, quiet, relaxing place where you won’t be disturbed, and to listen to a self-hypnosis/relaxation CD recorded by a professional hypnotherapist.
Practicing self hypnosis just before you fall asleep at night is particularly helpful. Throughout the night your subconscious mind will replay again and again any thoughts and images that you hold in your mind during the forty-five minutes before you fall asleep. So you may as well make these thoughts and images pleasant, positive, useful ones! Thinking enjoyable thoughts as you sleep will ensure that you wake up the next morning feeling rested and positive.
If you find listening to a pre-recorded self hypnosis/relaxation CD effective, then you can progress to writing your own self-hypnosis script and making your own self-hypnosis recording. Choose your favourite relaxation music and add your own suggestions.
The benefit of this method is that you know precisely what changes you want, and so you can create a tailor made recording. You can choose the suggestions that are most relevant to you, and use both words and imagery that you understand. Choose words and images that inspire you and make you feel good.
